Dr. Dirk Freitag-Stechl holds a PhD in chemistry and a Master of Business Administration.
After his post-doc residency in Florence and a management position at HENKEL AG & Co. KGAA, he took over the management of CUP Contract Labs in 2008.
Dirk Freitag-Stechl is very committed to the German dual education system and is therefore Chairman of the Board of the BSZ in Meißen/Radebeul and Chairman of the Project Advisory Board for the BMBF-InnoVET project "CLOU - Future Cluster for Innovative Vocational Training".
Dr. Freitag-Stechl holds the honorary position of Chairman of the Board of the General Employers' Association of North-East Chemistry.
Dr Theres Ramenda holds a PhD in chemistry and is a proven radiopharmaceutical expert with 14 years of management experience in operations and a specialization in the areas of GMP and optimization of work processes using LEAN and digitalization.
She has been a key member of the management team since 2010 and has now been in charge of the entire Operations department in addition to the Analytical Laboratory since 2024.
Dr. Reissig leads the Analytical Chemistry department at CUP Contract Labs, with a strong focus on radiolabeling, radiopharmacy, and nuclear medicine applications.
He has extensive experience in the development, validation, and transfer of analytical methods in GMP environments, particularly for complex and high-risk pharmaceutical projects.
With his structured and solution-oriented approach, he ensures the highest quality and safety standards.
Since joining CUP, he has been driving the advancement of analytical solutions in the field of radioactive analysis.
Sofie Stechl is a food chemist and has worked internationally for 20 years in management positions in the food industry in the areas of product development, marketing and innovation management.
As a strong project manager, she has been combining her experience in brand strategy with HR management with us since 2023 and, as a certified design thinking coach, is also able to provide constant stimulus for new processes and working methods.
Dr. Marco Nousch holds a PhD in chemical engineering and is a molecular biologist with many years of research experience.
He worked at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute in Sydney and at the Max Planck Institute of Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden.
With over 10 years of experience in radioactive analysis methods, he joined CUP's management team in 2022 and leads our microbiology laboratory, which is a world leading laboratory in the field of radioactive analysis.

In four years, CUP will be the global market leader in the field of radio-pharmaceutical analysis. We are well on the way to achieving this and already have an exclusive service that is only available from us worldwide. It is patent-protected.

In addition we will also serve other areas, such as orphan drugs, cytostatics and the testing of narcotics. Where it becomes too complex for others, it is only just beginning for us. However, it is not only important to me to have the customer perspective, but it is about the people as a whole.(...) This means that I see a company in four years' time where highly motivated, highly talented scientists, laboratory technicians, (...) but also service staff work together, who form a team, who share a vision and a mission and who really enjoy working at CUP, excelling and providing services for our customers' patients.
